MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME (MM2H)

Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme is promoted by Malaysia’s Government (since 2002) to allow foreigners/retiree who fulfil the requirements to stay in Malaysia as their Second Home. The MM2H visa will be granted for a period of five (5) years and is renewable for another five (5) years if applicant still can fulfil the requirements set by Immigration such as minimum ninety (90) days stay (accumulate) in Malaysia for applicants whole family per year.

FAQ

1. Do I need to purchase a house in Malaysia before I can apply for MM2H program?

Not necessary as this is not the primary requirement set by MM2H authority.

2. Can I withdraw my Fixed Deposit to invest in my business after 1 year?

You can’t withdraw the money for investment purpose. There are only 3 purposes for withdrawal of the money which includes: property purchase, car purchase and medical expenses.
The approval is subject to the MM2H Authority

3. Can I open my Fixed Deposit account in a Malaysia bank in my home country after getting approval?

Yes, at this moment some banks allowed approved applicant to pre-open deposit account and transferred the pledged FD amount, then you have to go to that particular bank for verification when enter into Malaysia.

Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) PROGRAM

 

Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home Program (S-MM2H) is initiated by our Sarawak State Government to allow foreigners/retiree who fulfils the requirements to stay in Sarawak as their Second Home. The MM2H visa will be granted for a period of five (5) years and is renewable for another five (5) years if main applicant can fulfil the requirements set by Immigration such as minimum 15 days stay (accumulate) in Sarawak for applicants whole family PER YEAR.

FINANCIAL CRITERIA BEFORE APPLY MM2H PROGRAM

1a) undergoing long term medical treatment in Sarawak
